Medicine

Sick Animal/Herd Evaluations

Through diligent exams and diagnostic testing, we can make recommendations on treatment options for your animal/herd.

Wellness Exams

Animal and herd evaluations including husbandry and nutrition. These types of visits are great for answering all of your questions.

Vaccinations

Including protocol development to best fit your production goals.

Health Certificates

Interstate and 4-H/FF

Dystocias/ C-Sections

Medical and surgical intervention for the dreaded difficult calvings.

Castrations

Surgical and non-surgical options.

Lameness Evaluation

Most lameness originates at the foot in cattle. Hoof trimming is offered if facilities are adequate.

Surgery

Displaced Abomasum

Left or right displaced abomasum surgeries offered.

C-Sections

If medical intervention does not succeed, surgical intervention is necessary.

Enucleations

We live in an area where pinkeye and cancer eye are common, and sometimes lead to necessary removal of the eye.

Dehorning

Hot iron disbudding or cosmetic dehorning.

Reproduction

Pregnancy Diagnosis

Ultrasound and doppler used to identify early pregnancy (30 days) and confirm pregnancy.

Artificial Insemination

Having a bull on the farm can be dangerous, so AI is an option. We offer synchronization and breeding services for both dairy and beef cattle. Semen straws must be acquired by the client.

Appropriate restraint is required for a bovine visit. At minimum, a chute with a head catch must be operational for safe animal handling.
