Medicine

Sick Animal/Herd Evaluations

Through diligent exams and diagnostic testing, we can make recommendations on treatment options for your animal/herd.

Wellness Exams

Animal and herd evaluations including husbandry and nutrition. These types of visits are great for answering all of your questions.

Vaccinations

Including protocol development to best fit your production goals.

Health Certificates

Interstate and 4-H/FFA

Dystocias/ C-Sections

Medical and surgical intervention for the dreaded difficult kidding/lambing.

Castrations

Surgical and non-surgical options. Please plan ahead as non-surgical options are only done in animals less than a week old.

Lameness Evaluation

Most lameness originates at the foot, but it is not uncommon for goats and sheep to injure themselves. Evaluations and hoof trimmings are available.

Surgery

Displaced Abomasum

Left or right displaced abomasum surgeries offered.

C-Sections

If medical intervention does not succeed, surgical intervention is necessary. C-Sections are major surgeries that can be life-saving.

Enucleations

We live in an area where pinkeye and cancer eye are common, and sometimes lead to necessary removal of the eye.

Reproduction

Pregnancy Diagnosis

Ultrasound and doppler used to identify early pregnancy (45 days) and confirm pregnancy later.

Estrous synchronization

Synchronization for breeding tailor made after discussions with the producer.

Artificial Insemination

Conventional for goats, laparoscopic for sheep and deer
